Chevron Crushes

Plaid is my true love when it comes to patterns, but chevron has me crushing pretty hard. It all started with a Missoni interest and from there I’ve coveted everything from home decor to fingernails. So when I found this La Posh Style dress in chevron a la fall I was counting  down the days to wear it with vintage boots. Cheveron+fall=happy. What is making you happy this fall?

Swap shopping and a camera crazy dog under my feet

What I wore to go Swappin’ Texas Style!

Questions of the day:
Do you like my new header? Can’t stop playing with it.
and….
Have you ever been to a professionally set up swap?
Are you interested in finding people to swap clothes with- or does the idea not appeal ?

Inquiring Lemondrops want to know.

I was lucky to make it to the Swap at the Texas Style Conference on Friday. The interstate was a mess, traffic was horrendous, and it was only through the intervention of a friend that I struggled in with the five bags I had packed to swap! Thank you, KK!
Of course, a Tucker dress I donated was on What I Wore right away- making me kick myself for not keeping it. Ah, well.
The swap was so crowded and frenzied that I failed to take pictures, but it was beautifully set up by the Swapaholics. I was trying to be a thoughtful and polite shopper, so I ended up with much less and few bruised toes. The ladies were very enthused to say the least.

My new friend D’Andra at Sable and Sage did a better job capturing the swap, check out her photos here! I only met a few bloggers in all of the shopping excitement, but I met many more during the conference! I will share more conference musings and some clothes I received at the swap later on this week. I learned a lot- if you blog meeting other bloggers can be very rewarding.

Dress, Sangria, thrifted
Sweater, Banana Republic
Boots, Vintage snakeskin
The whole time we were trying to get ready Gertie was under my feet. Isn’t she a sweetheart?
She thinks she can go shopping with me.

At the swap…
Check out all of the great photos, here I am with my haul!
From Miss Vinyl Ahoy, and I put that plaid back, not my size, sigh.

Hearts and Flowers… in the Park

A few days ago we wandered in a local nature park to partake of the small number of budding blooms. It’s a park that we’ve been to many times as Mr. and Mrs. Lemondrop, but never with the littlest lemondrop. It was lovely to see so many flowering trees!

And the flowers on my dress make me smile too- but it isn’t quite the same fit as it once was, so I will be taking it with me this weekend to the Texas Style Council Blogger Conference for the CLOTHES SWAP. (I apologize for yelling, I am excited!) I’ve never been to a clothes swap before but I am sure I will find something, and if not, I’ll enjoy the blogging company.
With the Target re-release of past dresses this dress may be in a store again soon. Here’s a great article on the dresses we will see again on March 13th!

Have you been walking in parks yet this Spring, or swapped any clothing lately? Almost the weekend, sister, hold on!

Here’s my heart…

Vintage: Jacket, boots
Dress: Tucker for Target remixed from preggers days
