And I am wearing another item that I picked up at the TxSC swap event! I like a little bling, and I like bows…so for the cost of something I wasn’t wearing anymore I was able to try both! I like the way the rhinestones sparkle in the light. And for a dose of little old lady I added my vintage jacket.

I love making friends over cute dresses

You know what is so great about the blogging community? The friends you might meet because of one little dress. I found the Cupcake Countessa’s etsy shop first, and then I had to check out her blog.

Viola, new friend. As we chatted over things we have in common- blogs, vintage collections, too many accessories- we discovered that we might benefit from a dress swap. Thanks, Jessa, love my sky blue dress with ruffles! And you look divine in the red gingham with those cute buttons! I am always up for a good swap. Keeps the closet fresh and my wallet full. Well, fuller than it would be otherwise, it’s never full.

I dress to meet Spring and the bluebonnets (And almost for free)

If you’ve been following my TxSC adventures you know that I had a fabulous time, but I still haven’t reported on my swap haul. I grabbed two great items that I plan to wear as soon as I can work them in to my oh so organized closet. Fine, that’s a lie, it’s a wreck in there but attending a conference all weekend set my spring cleaning schedule back quite a bit.

The conference kicked off with a blogger clothing swap and Lulu’s graciously donated one item to each blogger! There were loads of lovelies to choose from. I picked this dress because it seemed the perfect blue for spring, and one that is lacking in my closet. I wore it this windy weekend with a jacket and vintage blouse. Thanks, Lulu’s, the bluebonnets approve.
