Hat hair and hiking boots, it’s not Spring yet

Remember when mom said keeping your head covered would keep you warmer? She was totally right! A few flowers are blooming in our yard, and afternoons are warming, but bare legs are all the nod I can give to Spring just yet. Admittedly this is slightly dressed up for me only 7 weeks after welcoming the newest member of our family.  I can’t wait to have the energy to wear nonmom clothes daily, but with so little sleep, dressing like an adult isn’t a daily event just yet.  And it’s been tough getting into a much needed exercise program. What cozy things are getting you through the end of winter?

You can call me cupcake. But only when I am wearing this dress, please.

I think I may be baking too much for the little lemondrop lately… when I saw this dress at Target it made me think of a sweet frosted cupcake. And then I bought it and wore it anyway. Yes, this is despite my lamentations of low closet space and an agonizing closet cleaning session. The details around the neckline are lovely for an inexpensive dress from Target!  I never promised to be sensible all of the time regarding cupcakes or dresses. Just on most days. So today, call me cupcake all you like.

That’s a wrap…and not a bow

I asked my sister to make me a snuggly scarf that I could wear several ways. So she did, but to her consternation it had to be extra long in order for me to position it in all of the ways I planned. And then I found out that I tie a really bad bow. So I am working on that and using said scarf in other ways until then. I mean, if I had to actually look it up because my bow didn’t remotely resemble what I wanted, I need some skills.  Anyway I wrapped it…& my scarf kept me warm on this windy day. I think the hair is your clue that it was in fact, tres windy. Hope you are warm and dry.
