I was only been in touch with the world via instagram last week, and I am excited to be home and back to almost normal… I love a schedule and knowing what I am doing in advance. I color code important events in a calendar, and my scheduled c-section was one thing I clearly marked. But this little Lemondrop apparently did not get the calendar memo and came early. Really early, both by date and time. When you get up at 1:00 am for a drink of water that’s really all the excitement you want. Baby Bennett decided to add some more. Mr. Lemondrop had fallen asleep watching television, but you’d be amazed at the vertical jump I saw when I said my water had just broken. Impressive. And at 4:38 a.m. I was thrilled to hold this little blessing (which is what his name means). The first little Lemondrop came in the middle of the night, so I guess I should have expected that!
I am sad to have my pregnancy end early, I believe in making the most of that time for the baby and enjoying it, but I am so grateful for the fabulous doctors and nurses who we were lucky enough to meet. We didn’t know the sex of the baby, so we are excited to announce…It’s a boy!
I am super proud of this stockpile…The only thing I have accomplished besides a record load of laundry and diaper changes… and if you’ve tried to do this you know how hard it can be.
